In my 15+ years journey as a fruitarian, I’ve come to embrace a diet centered around nature’s bountiful fruits. This choice stems from a deep-seated belief in both the inherent design of our bodies and guidance from the Bible.

Fruits and leafy greens resonate with me as the ultimate source of sustenance. After discovering Dr. Doug Graham’s influential book, “80/10/10”, I swiftly transitioned from a conventional diet to one primarily composed of fruits, leading to a remarkable transformation in my overall well-being.

Morning Ritual: Lemonade and Honey

My day begins with a refreshing concoction of lemons, water, and honey.

This blend kickstarts my morning, providing a natural cleanse for my digestive system. While I identify as a vegan, I make an exception for honey, aligning with my personal beliefs and biblical references. Honey’s antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties make it a valued addition to my diet.

Mid-Morning Hydration: Watermelon Juice

For a mid-morning pick-me-up, I turn to the hydrating delight of watermelon juice. This invigorating drink offers a burst of hydration and essential sugars, preparing me for the feast ahead.

With its rich flavor and approximately 300 calories, it’s the perfect bridge to lunch.

Lunchtime Feast: The Fruit Bowl Extravaganza

Lunchtime is a cherished moment for me, as it marks the occasion for a hearty fruit bowl. Filled with juicy mangoes, bananas, wild blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries, this vibrant dish is a tasty treat. Topped with a delicious sauce made from blended bananas, mangoes, and coconut flakes, it packs over a thousand calories of wholesome, natural goodness.

Crafting the Perfect Low-Fat Vegan Marinara Sauce

Tonight, I’ll be preparing a tantalizing marinara sauce for our Italian-inspired dinner. My secret lies in a blend of tomatoes, dried tomatoes, and fresh herbs like basil, oregano, and thyme, enhanced with a touch of lemon juice.

To give it a unique twist, I add almond butter and a drizzle of honey, creating a sauce that’s both hearty and sweet.

Dinner Time Delight: A Taste of Italy

Drawing from fond memories of Italian cuisine from my upbringing, I present a mouthwatering dinner. The star of the show is the freshly prepared marinara sauce, boasting chunky tomatoes and a medley of aromatic herbs. The sauce pairs wonderfully with zucchini noodles and a fresh salad of lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, and dried tomatoes.

The result is a satisfying, low-fat, raw vegan Italian feast that pays homage to my culinary heritage.

Sticking to a fruit-focused diet has shown me the amazing benefits of a natural, nutrient-packed lifestyle. My everyday meals not only boost my energy but also provide essential nourishment. This highlights how a diet centered on whole, plant-based foods can profoundly impact one’s health and well-being.
